Why We All Long to Come Home for Christmas
There’s something about Christmas that wakes up a longing inside us. For some, it’s the memories of running down the stairs on Christmas morning. For others, it’s the smell of their grandmother’s kitchen or the sound of family laughter. We want to go back. We want to feel the way we felt when everything seemed simple.
But nostalgia fades fast when life is heavy. Losses, stress, loneliness, and the pressure to make everything perfect can wear us down. Isaiah 9 speaks right into that — a people walking in darkness who suddenly see a great light. Christmas reminds us that Jesus steps into the places that feel dark and heavy and brings real hope.
You’re invited to walk toward that hope with us this season. Come home for Christmas. Jesus is already waiting at the door.
