Some stories in the Bible make us stop and think, “Wait… THAT’S in there?”

A talking donkey. A left-handed assassin. A scandal buried in the middle of Genesis. A young man running naked through the night.

These are the stories most people skip over, avoid, or never fully understand. Yet every one of them reveals something powerful about God, grace, failure, redemption, and the human condition.

In HUH?, we’ll explore some of scripture’s strangest moments and discover why God intentionally included them in His Word. This series is honest, surprising, thought-provoking, and deeply hopeful.

Because even the weird stories point us to Jesus.

Generosity: Living With Open Hands sermon series logo in bold black typography
What if the life God is calling you to isn’t about holding on, but letting go?

In Generosity: Living with Open Hands, we’ll discover that everything we have—our time, our gifts, and even our finances—has been given to us by God for a purpose. When we stop clinging tightly and start living open-handed, something changes. Our hearts soften. Our trust grows. Our lives begin to reflect Jesus more clearly.

This series isn’t about pressure. It’s about freedom.
It’s about learning to trust God fully and live generously in every area of life.

Empty Tomb / Open Door Easter sermon series title graphic with soft golden text
Jesus didn’t stumble into the cross. He stepped toward it.

From the cheers of Palm Sunday to the victory of the empty tomb, Jesus walked through every door the Father placed in front of Him. He chose obedience when it was costly. He chose surrender when it was painful. He chose the cross so that we could experience grace.

In this two-week series, Empty Tomb / Open Door, we’ll follow the final steps of Jesus’ journey and see how His obedience opened the way for our freedom. The tomb is empty. The door is open. And through Him, we are invited to come home to God.

ABIDE: Intimacy with Christ Through Prayer sermon series logo with hand-drawn style lettering
Prayer is more than a religious routine. It is the lifeline of a believer who wants to walk closely with Jesus.

In this two week series, Abide, we will explore what it means to live in daily connection with Christ. Jesus said in John 15 that He is the vine and we are the branches. When we remain in Him, our lives begin to bear fruit. When we drift away, we quickly discover how much we truly need Him.

Many people want a deeper relationship with God but are unsure where to begin. Prayer is where that relationship grows. Prayer is where we learn to trust God, surrender our worries, and align our hearts with His will.

During this series we will talk about why prayer matters, how Jesus taught His followers to pray, and how God still moves when His people call on Him. You will be encouraged to move beyond occasional prayer and begin developing a daily rhythm of abiding with Christ.

If you have ever felt distant from God, unsure how to pray, or hungry for a deeper spiritual life, this series is for you.

Join us as we learn to slow down, seek God together, and discover the power of a life that abides in Christ.

At The Table logo with knife and fork graphics - Finding Your Place in God's Family church ministry series

Everyone longs for a place to belong. A place where they are known, welcomed, and loved.

At the Table is a four-week message series that explores what it means to come home to God and become part of His family. Rooted in Ephesians 2:19, this series reminds us that through Jesus, we are no longer strangers or outsiders, but members of the household of God.

Throughout this series, we’ll look at:

  • How God welcomes us home through grace

  • What we believe and why it shapes how we live

  • How we grow together as disciples on mission

  • How each of us has a place and a purpose in God’s family

Whether you are new to church, returning after time away, or looking to take your next step in faith, this series is an invitation to pull up a chair and take your seat at the table.

You belong here. Welcome home.

Stand-Alone Message series graphic with silhouette of man leaning against bold text
Not every message fits neatly into a sermon series. Sometimes, God speaks a word for just the right moment. These stand-alone messages from Lake Lynn Baptist Church are rooted in Scripture and offered with open arms—just like the Father welcoming the prodigal home.

Whether it’s a special day, a timely topic, or a word for the season, each message is centered on Jesus and shared with the hope that you’ll be encouraged, challenged, and drawn closer to Him.

New messages are added throughout the year as the Spirit leads. There’s always room for one more at the table—come hear what God is saying.
