What We Believe

You are Welcome Here

At Lake Lynn Baptist Church, we believe the message of Jesus is simple. You can come home. Whether you have been walking with Him for years or you are just beginning to ask questions, there is grace for you, truth to guide you, and a church family ready to walk beside you.

These core beliefs reflect what we hold to be true and life-giving, based on the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It is true, trustworthy, and the final authority for everything we believe and do. Through Scripture, God reveals His love, His plan, and the way back home.

God

There is one true God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created all things and rules over all. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect life, died in our place, rose again, and now invites us into a relationship with Him.

People

Every person is made in God’s image but separated from Him because of sin. Our hearts long for something more because we were created to walk with God. He offers restoration and purpose through Jesus. The invitation to come home is for everyone.

Salvation

Salvation is a gift from God. We do not earn it. We receive it by grace through faith in Jesus. When we admit our need, believe in Jesus as Savior, and confess Him as Lord, we are forgiven and made new. Coming home means finding peace, purpose, and hope in Christ.

The Church

The church is not a building. It is the people of God, joined together in faith. We gather to worship, grow, serve, and support one another. At Lake Lynn, we want to be a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can come home and be part of something real.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We practice believer’s baptism as a public step of obedience and a picture of new life in Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a reminder of His sacrifice and our unity in Him.

The Christian Life

We are called to love God, love people, and share the good news of Jesus. Our faith is not just for Sundays. It shapes how we live, serve, and love each day. As disciples, we help others follow Jesus and grow in faith, just as others help us.

Come Home

To come home means to stop running. To come home means to rest in the love of God. To come home means you are no longer alone. Whether you are full of faith or full of questions, we invite you to take the next step with us.

There is room for you here. Welcome home.

Imago Dei

The Image of God

All people are created in the Image of God and that changes everything. It changes how we view and interact with others, as well as the issues that we care about as believers. Every life matters because every life is created in the image of God.
