Why the Table Matters
At a table, we slow down. We listen. We laugh. We share stories. We notice when someone’s quiet or hurting. Tables create space for honesty and connection in ways few other places can.
That’s why tables matter so much in the life of faith.
Discipleship doesn’t only happen in rows facing a stage. It happens in living rooms, kitchens, and coffee shops. It happens when people sit together and do life together. When faith moves from ideas to conversations. From sermons to shared experiences.
Jesus spent a lot of time at tables. Eating with sinners. Teaching His disciples. Breaking bread and building relationships. Tables weren’t just where meals happened. They were where transformation began.
If we want faith to grow, we need to make space around the table.
