Do We Really Have Guardian Angels?
Psalm 91 says, “He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” And Matthew 18:10 reminds us that angels “always see the face of My Father in heaven.” So yes, angels protect. But does each person have one assigned guardian? The Bible doesn’t say that specifically.
What it does say is even better: God Himself watches over us, and He commands His angels to act on our behalf. They don’t operate independently—they move at His word.
That means we don’t have to obsess over angels or fear that we’ll be forgotten. The same God who holds the universe in His hand also directs the hosts of heaven to care for His children.
So rather than trying to identify your guardian angel, focus on the Guardian Himself. Thank Him for His protection. Live in the confidence that He is with you, and His messengers are still at work in ways you cannot see.
And as you walk through your week, remember—you, too, can be a messenger. Bring light into dark places. Speak peace into chaos. Be the voice that reminds someone else: “Don’t be afraid. God is near.”
