The Greatest Gift You Can Give Your Child

Every parent wants what’s best for their children.

We want them to be healthy.

We want them to do well in school.

We hope they’ll find meaningful careers, good friends, and someday build strong families of their own.

Those are all wonderful goals.

But none of them compare to helping your child know Jesus.

This week, our church was filled with laughter, games, music, crafts, and Bible stories during Vacation Bible School. We had an incredible time watching children discover who Jesus is and how much He loves them.

For many families, VBS is the first step.

And it’s a wonderful one.

But faith isn’t built in just one week.

Children grow spiritually the same way they grow physically: through consistency.

They need parents who pray with them.

Who read the Bible with them.

Who answer hard questions.

Who model what it means to follow Jesus.

One of the greatest influences on a child’s faith isn’t the pastor or children’s ministry leader.

It’s Mom and Dad.

Research consistently shows that children are far more likely to develop a lasting faith when parents are actively involved in church and make following Jesus a normal part of everyday life.

That doesn’t mean parents have to be Bible scholars.

It simply means showing up, learning together, and allowing your children to see that your faith matters.

Church isn’t something we attend when it’s convenient.

It’s where we grow together as a family.

If your family visited Lake Lynn during Vacation Bible School, thank you for trusting us with your children. We loved having them.

Now we’d love to continue walking alongside your family.

Join us this Sunday. Let your children experience what it looks like to worship, learn God’s Word, build friendships, and grow in their faith week after week.

Vacation Bible School is a great place to start.
