Belonging Isn’t Enough
We all want a place where we’re known, welcomed, and accepted. That’s why the idea of family resonates so deeply with us. Family is where we’re supposed to feel safe. Where we can exhale. Where we know there’s a seat at the table with our name on it.
But belonging by itself isn’t the end goal.
In God’s family, belonging leads somewhere. It leads to belief taking root and belief shaping how we live. Faith isn’t just about showing up and finding a chair. It’s about stepping into the life of the family.
The church isn’t held together by a building, a schedule, or shared preferences. It’s held together by shared life. When we belong to God’s family, we’re invited into something deeper than attendance. We’re invited into mission, responsibility, and love for one another.
Belonging is the beginning, not the destination.
